CSW220A
CSW220A LR-WiFi Communication Module
CSW220A integrates a Linux host with the radio link, exposing 100M Ethernet, USB virtual networking and data UARTs. It supports rapid prototypes, network bridges, serial pass-through and video/control backhaul where integrating an SDIO/USB radio driver into the customer board is impractical. It is a communication subsystem rather than just the 2200/2201 radio module; firmware and enabled interfaces are project-specific.
Key specifications
- Architecture
- Integrated Linux host and LR-WiFi link for communication subsystem integration
- Wireless protocols
- IEEE 802.11b/g/n and private LR-WiFi; confirm band and firmware by project
- Ethernet
- One 100M Ethernet interface; the interface rate is not long-range wireless throughput
- USB
- USB 2.0 High-speed OTG / RNDIS virtual networking; 480 Mbps is the USB interface rate
- Data UARTs
- UART1/UART2 for data, each up to 115200 bps; UART0 for debugging, with enabled interfaces confirmed per firmware
- Data connectivity
- Network bridging, point-to-point serial pass-through and multipoint serial communication, subject to firmware/link configuration
- Power design
- 5 V or USB supply; historical datasheet peak current up to 1 A, with a supply rated above 1 A recommended
- Antennas
- Two external IPX antennas; use matching polarization, short coaxial cables and clearance from digital/switching-power interference
- Phone access
- Compatible devices may connect through USB OTG/RNDIS bridging after OS/driver verification; ordinary phone Wi-Fi does not directly join private LR-WiFi
